The SEC nod came on drugmaker Dr Reddy’s application seeking authorisation for the vaccine in India. Dr Reddy’s has partnered with the Russia Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) to bring the Sputnik V vaccine to India. India has been pledged 125 million doses of the vaccine by Russia. India, the world’s largest vaccine maker, has become one of the biggest producers of the Sputnik V shot outside Russia. Other countries producing it include Brazil, China and South Korea.
