Tim Colliver | The Times-Gazette Accused child sex offender James McCartney has been deemed competent to stand trial, according to documents filed Thursday in Highland County Common Pleas Court. McCartney, 61, of the Rocky Fork Lake area, is charged with multiple counts of child sex offenses. He was indicted on April 6 by a Highland County grand jury on one count of trafficking in persons, a first-degree felony, with the indictment alleging that he willingly knew the person involved was under the age of 16 and was being trafficked for the purpose of engaging in sexual activity for hire. ....
