12 April 2021 is set to be an eventful day in England, as non-essential shops, community centres, and outdoor dining open for the first time in months. Yet, for the capital’s skincare aficionados there’s another reason to mark calendars – Dr. Barbara Strum is opening her first London spa and boutique.
The treatments
Located in London’s Marylebone neighbourhood, the new spa will offer Dr. Sturm’s signature, groundbreaking facials as well as a new range of treatment options exclusive to the London flagship. These include the Signature Sturm Glow Facial; a transformative anti-aging treatment that refreshes the skin surface through cleansing, exfoliation and extractions, followed by Sturm’s trademark massage for toning facial contours.
When Marla Beck, CEO, and co-founder of Bluemercury, started the beauty company more than twenty years ago, vegan and gluten-free beauty and skincare products were not exactly flying off the shelves. The mother of three built her empire with a very specific mission in mind: To sell luxury beauty products through smaller retailers because, at the time, high-end beauty was only sold in department stores. She wanted to create something more curated.
