Your ongoing investigative pieces on the causes and after-effects of Snowmageddon show it s a complex issue that deserves continued attention, and should be required reading for public officials.  
Deaths, millions without water, billions in property damage, in addition to the cold and dark and misery that most Texans endured, need multiple stories to cover well.  
The latest piece which quotes the scientist who warns that a changing climate makes these events more common is something Texas better take to heart. My biggest lingering question has to do with road clearing.   
Even with the deep freeze and the power failures, a lot of suffering could have been avoided if the roads had been cleared and we could have helped each other. Where was the Texas Department of Transportation when the highways were covered? Where was the city when neighborhood streets were too dangerous to drive on? When this happens again, having drivable roads is ....

Chip Roy was all nuance
Rep. Chip Roy, confronted with having to vote up or down on the president’s impeachment, went all nuanced. Roy did disapprove of the president’s having whipped his horde “into a frenzy.” But Roy would have preferred to vote to impeach the president for another stunning example of anti-democratic conduct: pressuring Mike Pence to magic away the results of the election.
Apparently, now Roy thinks he can have this cake and eat it, too. He imagines he can sleep at night, having spoken out, but also point Republican voters to his “no” vote on impeachment. ....
