Article by Social Share A total of 3 401 students will be writing this year’s Barbados Secondary Schools Entrance Examination (BSSEE) on Wednesday, July 28. This figure comprises 1 680 females and 1 721 males, who are registered to write the exam at 22 secondary schools and the Barbados Community College. According to the Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training, ten students have requested permission to sit the BSSEE at an early age (ten years old). The BSSEE, also known as the Common Entrance or 11-Plus Examination, will also be written by 85 non-nationals. These students have satisfied immigration requirements. The ministry has also received 94 special requests, mainly for extra time, enlarged print and breaks for snacks. ....
Article by Social Share The Nursing Council of Barbados said today that the Midwifery Examination will be held tomorrow, Monday, July 5, as scheduled, at the Barbados Community College (BCC), Howells Cross Road, St. Michael. However, there is an adjustment to the times of the exam as follows: Paper I will be held from 11 a.m. to noon. Paper II will be held from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The timetable for the practical exams remains the same. The council apologises for any inconvenience caused as a result of the change in exam times.
