Poole Harbour Festival Three-day music spectacular Poole Harbour Festival will take place between Friday, July 30 and Sunday, August 1. Festival goers will be able to enjoy entertainment from 50 acts across three stages at Baiter Park. Headlines include 90s Britpop legends Dodgy and Toploader, as well as superclub DJs Brandon Block and Matt Darey. Free activities and shows for children include dinosaur shows, the Passion For Laughter street shows, Mad For Animals and Jamie Jambo. 1/1 BOURNEMOUTH’s Pride Festival is to return for 2021 after organisers have announced the event will be postponed this year. Bourne Free, which was due to be held on Friday July 3 to Sunday July 4, will now be held on the weekend of August 20 and 21. Having revealed last year that the 2020 event was to return to Meyrick Park for the first time in ten years, members of the Bourne Free team have said that the two-day affair will now be moved back at the Triangle for one last celebration. Bourne Free Chair Neal Errington said: “Following the recent review on government guidelines and the roadmap paved for a lockdown free Britain, the Bourne Free trustees have met with BCP Council and we are beyond thrilled to confirm that Bourne Free Pride Weekend will be back for 2021. ....
PROJECTS and charitable organisations supporting LGBTQ+ communities in Dorset could receive funding courtesy of Bournemouth’s pride festival Bourne Free. Launched in November 2019, the Bourne Free Community Fund provides financial assistance to projects and organisations which support the local LGBT+ community. The fund, which had a start-up amount derived from previous donations, will be primarily funded by a percentage of proceeds from all Bourne Free events, as well as additional donations from external contributors. Local groups and organisations can apply for up to £1000 worth of funding to help continue their services during the current pandemic. Bourne Free Trustee Louise Clarke said: “We are absolutely delighted as a charity to be in a position where we can provide financial support to very worthy causes. ....
