61 beggar’s handlers arrested during June

Islamabad: Islamabad Police have accelerated its campaign against professional beggars and their handlers and arrested 61 handlers, 411 professional beggars during ongoing month.
Following orders of IGP Islamabad Qazi Jamil Ur Rehman, under supervision of SSP (Operations) Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanweer, Islamabad Police had launched a massive campaign against professional alm-seekers and their handlers to curb this menace from federal capital.
Police teams under supervision of Additional SP (Islamabad) Farhat Abbass Kazmi, this campaign will continue in Capital until it’s elimination. Additional SP Farhat Abbas Kazmi told that we got the tips through Safe City Cameras and other intelligence sources about presence of network of beggars’ handlers and got the information about their locations and kept them under the watch.
Islamabad : Islamabad Police conducted a grand intelligence based operation against beggar’s handlers in rural and city areas and arrested 26 handlers.Following orders of IGP Islamabad Qazi.
52 kanal of citizens’ land vacated

Islamabad : Anti-Land Grabbing Committee has taken effective action against land grabbers during last three and half months and got vacated 52 kanal of citizens land from occupation of mafia.
Chief Commissioner and IGP Islamabad have ensured several steps including constitution of anti-land grabbing committee comprising officials of Capital police and district administration to resolve land disputes of citizens and take effective action against land mafia.
The committee includes Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Kamran Cheema and Additional Superintendent of Police Farhat Abbass Kazmi while police and Revenue officers also coordinate with the committee for timely assistance.

2,900 security personnel performed duties on Eid

Islamabad : The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police finalized a comprehensive security and patrolling plan on the eve of Eidul Fitr besides augmenting the security at public places, worship places and other important buildings to thwart any untoward incident.
The security plan was finalised by Additional SP Farhat Abbass Kazmi following directions of IGP Islamabad Qazi Jamil ur Rehman and DIG (Operations) Afzaal Ahmed Kausar. More than 2,900 security personnel including four SPs, 12 ASPs/DSPs and volunteers performed security duties and SSP (Operations) Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanveer supervised all arrangements.
DIG (Operations) directed to ensure strict security measures outside all mosques, imambargahs, exit and entry points of the city. Islamabad police ensured fool proof security arrangements on the occasion and police commandos were deployed for patrolling in the city.
