The Rockland City Council gave unanimous approval Monday evening to a $14.6 million budget for 2021-2022.
The June 28 meeting was the first in-person City Council meeting in more than 15 months.
The budget represents an increase of about $200,000 (1.4%) from the approved 2020-2021 municipal budget. The new budget goes into effect July 1 and runs through June 30, 2022.

8:40 p.m. A caller from the 300 block of Hughes Road reported a man yelling and slamming on a door. He was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public.

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) A 3-year-old girl has been rushed to the hospital for treatment of a life-threatening gunshot wound to her upper torso, Shreveport Police Chief Ben Raymond said.
He added that her condition has since been stabilized.
