New Delhi, January 24 Prime Minister Narendra Modi today urged the youth to support self-reliant India, asking them not to get enslaved by imported stuff. Interacting with the participants of the Republic Day Parade at his official residence today, the Prime Minister called upon the youth to make conscious efforts towards vocal for local by listing out items of daily use in their lives and then analysing the scale of their dependence on foreign goods. “I want to assign you a task today. Make a list of items of daily use and you will be surprised to see the level of dependence on imported goods. I am not saying you should shun imported goods. I am saying once you list out the imported goods you use, you will realise how much loss we have caused to the country. These goods have enslaved us mentally,” the PM said.
