Identifying a Parker Hale thread size.

I am modifying a Parker Hale back.sight to take modern eyepieces, The thread size is giving me some hassle as far as identification is concerned.
The diameter of the thread is 0.249 and the pitch is an excellent match to my 0 BA thread gauge..Unfortunately the diameter of an 0 BA thread should be 0.236 and indeed an 0 BA screw is a rattle fit in the threaded aperture.
I have some comprehensive books on screw threads, but I can t find anything that matches. Just wondering if Parker Hale had their own standards or is there a series of gunsmith threads that I am not aware of? ....

Wallpaper printed in support of the Constitutional Union Party’s presidential candidate, John Bell, in 1860. Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum, gift of Mrs. Frederick F. Thompson.
In July 1848, frustrated by Congress’ inability to agree on what to do about slavery in the territories, Delaware senator John Clayton proposed a compromise. John Hale, the intrepid antislavery senator from New Hampshire, thought Clayton’s idea was ridiculous. The Constitution did not speak with one voice on slavery, Hale noted. It “was interpreted as variously as the Bible.” John C. Calhoun, the proslavery senator from South Carolina, “was ....

Richmond City Council’s Governmental Operations Committee approved a new slate of candidates to a task force working to establish a civilian review board for police misconduct.
The Task Force for Establishing a Civilian Review Board will outline both how the future board will operate and investigate reports of police misconduct. Council delayed putting together a final list of nominations for weeks, as they debated whether two former law enforcement officers should be allowed to serve on the board. In October, City Council’s Public Safety Committee nominated former Petersburg Police Chief John Dixon III and former officer Charlene Hinton.  ....
