CONCERNED residents have said they will be ‘devestated’ if planning applications for a road in Parkeston are successful. Pam Gooch, 64, said the parking situation is out of control on Una Road, leading to an overspill onto Edward Street. It is understood permission for 12 houses has already been given the green light and a 30 house development is awaiting planning permission. But, residents aren’t giving up the fight just yet. Mrs Gooch, who lives on Una Road, said: “The parking situation is out of control. You have to turn into the road and just hope nothing is coming the other way, you can’t see because of the parked cars. ....
Plans - how the development could look PLANS have been resubmitted for 30 homes in Parkeston. Jason Drane has applied to Tendring Council to build the homes, along with parking, access and landscaping, on land behind Una Road. The new application seeks to modify the existing approved plans for the homes to comply with Essex Highways standards. Ramsey and Parkeston Parish Council had strongly objected to the application due to concerns over access to the site. It said Una Road has parking issues with both sides of the road being full of cars which restricts clear access for traffic to the site. ....
