The Chiefs in the Somey Traditional Area have said enough to what they claim are “disrespectful attitudes” by some members of the Ketu South Municipal Assembly.
The Chiefs said the Assembly-members had over the years shown “blatant disrespect to and disregard for the traditional authority” by failing to honour their invitations.
They contend failure for consultation before taking important decisions and warned they were not going to allow that to continue.
Torgbui Adamah III, the Paramount Chief, addressing a press conference to react to an earlier statement issued by the said Assembly-members, noted that officials of the Assembly ought to know that the “Somé Traditional Authority is not an appendage of the Ketu South Municipal Assembly, nor is it under the tutelage of the Assembly” to be treated as footstools of its officials. ....

New Juaben Traditional Council in the Eastern Region of Ghana is set to introduce Operation Clean Communities to complement government s efforts to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and other diseases such as Cholera, Malaria, Typhoid and Measles.
Dubbed, Operation Clean Communities , the novelty forms part of the New Juaben Traditional Council community development efforts within the implementation strategy of the existing award-winning Root-based development Model (RBM). This initiative was adopted during the Council’s meeting at the Omanhene’s Palace in Koforidua.
Introducing the proposal, Daasebre Professor (Emeritus) Oti Boateng, Omanhene of the Traditional Area, explained that health is one of the six major development categories within the RBM approach. ....

The chiefs and people of the Agortime Ziope Traditional Area in the Volta Region are calling on President Akufo-Addo and the police to institute an investigation into the recent attack on the Driver and Licensing Authority (DVLA) in the Tamale.
According to the chiefs, the attack by known Kandahar boys in addition to some ethnocentric comments was allegedly targeted at the Traditional stool father of Ziope, Zikpuitor Frank Gasese who doubles as the Northern Regional Manager of the DVLA.
They say the attack on their indigene is an unfortunate situation. ....

Omanhene of the Agona Nyakrom Traditional Area, Okofo Katakyie Nyarko Eku X has commended His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo for nominating Hon. Mrs. Justina Marigold Assan as Minister-designate for the Central Region.
According to the Omanhene, the nomination was in the right direction adding the Nananom in Agonaman highly appreciate the elevation of their former Municipal Chief Executive.
