Resolve mining issue on priority, fix royalty rates: DDC Chairman

JAMMU, June 1: DDC Chairman Jammu Bharat Bhushan Bodhi along with Vice Chairman Jammu, Suraj Singh Bhau asked Deputy Commissioner Jammu Anshul Garg to resolve the mining issue as soon as possible to give a sigh of relief to people facing hardships due to non-availability of construction material.
At the outset of the meeting, the DDC Chairman asked the DC Jammu for taking up the matter of mining on priority as the people have become fed-up with the blanket ban on construction material and those who are somehow getting the same are paying four to five times more than the actual rates. He said that the places in the outskirts of Jammu and in Chenab basin near Akhnoor where some relaxation is given for mining, the royalty rates are not fixed thus leaving scope for the operators to sell the construction material including sand, bajri at exorbitant rates. ....

JAMMU, May 3: Hailing the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi for initiating farmer friendly initiatives, DDC Jammu Chairman, Bharat Bhushan Bodhi has asserted that the Union Government stands committed to provide MSP to farmers without any mediator to ensure that they get reasonable rates for their produce. He said that such initiatives are bound to usher in a new dawn of economic prosperity for the food producers across the nation. He stated this during a function after inaugurating a Wheat Procurement Centre at border Village Trewa in RS Pura here, today.
Addressing a limited gathering present on the occasion, Bharat Bhushan said that the procurement centre has been opened with a view to provide MSP to farmers at their door step. He further informed that this particular centre will benefit the farmers of 20 Panchayats and 50 villages of Block Arnia. ....

JAMMU, Apr 26: The DDC Jammu Chairman, Bharat Bhushan Bodhi today asserted that every household in Jammu will get tap water before December 2022 under the Union Government’s flagship programme ‘Jal Jeevan Mission’.
The DDC chairman was speaking at the Gram Sabhas held here at Bhalwal under his stewardship in presence of Ex Sarpanch, Bhalwal, Narinder Singh Jamwal.
The Sabhas commenced with the people apprising the DDC Chairman about their issues especially with regard to civic necessities, revenue related concerns and other day to day problems. JAMMU, Feb 20: District Development Council (DDC) Jammu chairperson and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, Bharat Bhushan Bodhi today distributed Ayushman Bharat cards at Kangar Morh near, and exhorted the people to take maximum benefits out of several welfare schemes launched by Centre for them.
Bodhi distributed over 200 Golden cards of Ayushman Bharat Health Insurance under National Health Protection Scheme (NHPS) among beneficiaries in a function held at Mandal Office at Kangar Morh.
Speaking on the occasion, Bodhi informed that the Ayushman Bharat Health Insurance will provide coverage up to Rs five lakh per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization across the country and will cover over 10 crore poor families (approximately 50 crore beneficiaries) in the entire India.
