Bharat Biotech said that its coronavirus vaccine Covaxin is likely to soon get the nod from World Health Organisation for emergency use listing (EUL). The documents have been submitted by the company and the WHO is reviewing the same. All documents required for Emergency Use Listing (EUL) of Covaxin have been submitted to WHO as of 9th July. The review process has now commenced with the expectation that we will receive EUL from WHO at the earliest, said Bharat Biotech Chairman and MD Krishna Ella in a tweet.

Hyderabad, April 29 : Telangana on Thursday received 3 lakh doses of Covishield amid the continuous shortage of Covid vaccine for targetted groups.
The vaccine doses reached Rajiv Gandhi International Airport from Serum Institute of India (SII) in Pune.
The consignment was then shifted to state vaccine centre in the city. Officials were making arrangements to transport the doses to various districts.
The doses arrived at a time when vaccination programme in the state has been hit by the vaccine shortage. Many people were returning disappointed from vaccination centres. At some centres heated arguments were seen between people and the officials.

Hyderabad, April 27 : The Telangana government on Tuesday urged Bharat Biotech to supply maximum doses of its Covid-19 vaccine Covaxin to the state.
The state government also asked the Hyderabad-based company to give priority to Telangana, which plans to vaccinate all people in the state free of cost.
On the direction of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekar Rao, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar on Tuesday met Bharat Biotech Chairman and Managing Director Dr Krishna Ella at the state Secretariat.
