Ravens waive DT Xavier Kelly and WR Donte Sylencieux
The Ravens announced that they have waived defensive tackle Xavier Kelly and wide receiver Donte Sylencieux.

Kelly’s release comes after reportedly tearing his Achilles in last week’s OTAs. Kelly signed with Baltimore after going undrafted out of Arkansas. After spending his first three seasons at Clemson, Kelly transferred to Arkansas for his senior season. He finished his collegiate career with a total of 30 tackles, 3.5 sacks. 3.5 tackles for loss, and one fumble recovery.
Sylencieux also signed with the Ravens as an undrafted rookie following the draft. Sylencieux played college football at Graceland University but more notably played with quarterback Lamar Jackson in high school at Boynton Beach Community High School. “Having the opportunity to be a part of the BASA program has allowed me to have an in-depth education in aerospace and aeronautical science, which translates into my current and future pilot training,” said the 16-year-old from Palm Beach Gardens.
BASA stands for Boynton Aerospace Science Academy, which offers a specialized curriculum in aviation, aeronautical science, aviation maintenance, and unmanned aircraft systems. The Boynton Beach Community High School program is affiliated with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
BASA offers, among other itinerary, a mentorship program whereby airline pilots, aerospace engineers, mechanics, and other aviation professionals are paired with BASA students. This increases their exposure to aviation careers and allows them the opportunity to network at an early age.

The Boynton Aerospace Science Academy (BASA) was recently named a finalist in the FAA s Airport Design Challenge.
The competition included more than 12,000 students from 21 countries.
Students say their achievement came as no surprise. We had six weeks to finish the project, but we finished in like three and a half so we had high hopes, Sebastien Monroy said.
The group was tasked with recreating the Boca Raton Airport on the virtual platform Minecraft.
