Bus Éireann and Expressway issue Level 5 travel advice for all services nationwide Reporter: ); ); Bus Éireann, Ireland’s national bus company, is advising customers of updated guidelines under Level 5 of Ireland’s Plan for Living with Covid-19 which will come into effect from Saturday 26 December, 2020 until Tuesday 12 January, 2021. Under Level 5 restrictions Bus Éireann and Expressway services will operate at a capacity of 25% and Government advice for Level 5 restrictions is that public transport should be avoided. All travel should be limited within your own county, unless the travel is essential - that is for work (when not possible from home), education and other essential purposes. Capacity will be limited to 1 in 4 seats and passengers are advised that these seats should be reserved for essential workers, to observe capacity signage on board vehicles and continue the mandatory wearing of face coverings on all services. ....

Jobs boost for Limerick as Bus Eireann announces improved services Reporter: ); Bus Éireann has today announced a significant enhancement to its Limerick City and County services and timetables which will lead to the creation of 30 new jobs. Funded by the National Transport Authority through the Government’s July Stimulus, it includes a new Sunday service of two round trips on Route 345 Scariff/Limerick as well as increased frequency on city services including an extension to the Georgian Village on Route 303 Pineview/City Centre/Southill.

Bus Éireann s Christmas schedule and important travel advice for Louth passengers Reporter: ); Bus Éireann is informing customers about its Christmas schedule and providing important travel advice. In general, final departures will be from 9pm on Christmas Eve – intercity Expressway customers should check their specific schedule online. There will be no services on Christmas Day, and they resume on December 26 at 9am with a Sunday service. A Sunday service will operate on December 27 and 28, with a weekday service resuming on December 29. Normal weekday services will run on December 31 and a Sunday service on January 1, 2021.
