The Colebrookdale Railroad in Boyertown offers a Sensory Friendly Saturday for those with autism and other sensory sensitivities and their families at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 27. âEven in the best of times, families of and people with Autism often experience uncertainty, distress, and feeling forgotten. Yet, in the midst of a pandemic, these challenges were amplified. The welfare of family members who provide home-care to people with autism must also be considered,â said Michele Barrett, CRPT educational programs director, certified teacher, and autism mom. âWe at the Colebrookdale Railroad want to offer an opportunity for our friends to know that they are not forgotten, but instead that we are doing our best to ensure a safe, comfortable experience for them to enjoy an outing with their loved-ones. ....

Sydney Gonzalez of Boyertown has been crowned Miss Pennsylvania Elementary. She will compete for the national title of Miss Elementary United States 2021 at the National United States Scholarship Pageant July 19 to 23 in Hershey. I was so happy and excited. I love wearing the crown!! said Gonzalez about winning the Miss Pennsylvania Elementary title. Jesus Cruz, 20, of Boyertown, was charged with trafficking heroin/fentanyl that resulted in death. Cruz, who is in Berks County Prison, had been charged in December with possession and sale of heroin, carrying a firearm without a license and criminal use of a communications device in relation to the incident. - Advertisement - After detention in the Berks County Sheriffâs Department central processing center, Cruz was arraigned Feb. 23 before District Judge Michael G. Hartman. The amount of his bail was not available. Keyaira Nunez-Trego, 28, described in court documents as Cruzâs girlfriend, was charged with possession of illegal drugs with intent to deliver and criminal conspiracy.
