LEESBURG One Lake County resident was among the state’s latest reported deaths attributed to COVID-19, according to Thursday’s update from the Florida Department of Health.
The reported fatalities raise the area’s death toll to 385 276 in Lake County and 109 from Sumter.
Details about each local death was not immediately available, due to the state transitioning to a new method of reporting deaths on the DOH website. DOH offices in Tallahassee and Lake County have not responded to emails seeking information about the local deaths.
