Central Bucks student advocates, connects with peers to share world of visually impaired


Titus Elementary School student Krish Rastogi-Wilson views the world a lot differently than his peers. Coming into the world with little to no vision changed his perspective. 
But now, at just 9, he s helping others see, and understand, his view of things as he navigates school, camp and more, advocating for himself and others with visual impairment. 
Krish has come a long way in his years of living with cortical visual impairment, also known as cerebral visual impairment or CVI. The brain-based condition, which impacts the eye’s connection to the brain, is the leading cause of visual impairment in children in the United States. ....

Miracle On 34th Street Founder Encourages A Visit Plus Carryout


BALTIMORE, MD One of Baltimore s most festive blocks is shining bright in 2020.
Hampden s 34th Street is decked out for the holidays. Favorites remain like the blue crab with Christmas light claws, but other elements have changed.
This year people can drive through the display, which in years past has been blocked off at night for pedestrians during the month of December.

The street is open to drive through or to walk the sidewalks your choice, said Bob Hosier, who began the tradition of decorating 34th Street in north Baltimore decades ago.
The houses are lit, and we are in full swing, Hosier told Patch Friday. ....
