Recenlty, a group of Oklahoma House Republicans sent a letter on Tuesday to the members of the Oklahoma congressional delegation urging them to challenge the certification of the Electoral College votes on Jan. 6th, 2021. 
 
Appearing on COMMUNITY CONNECTION, State Representative Wendi Stearman of Collinsville said she joined 23 other lawmakers to contend that election law changes and violations in swing state disenfranchised the votes cast by Oklahomans. 
 
 
Another big item for Stearman is the redistricting process. By law, the State Legislature must redraw its legislative and congressional district boundaries to reflect changes in population every ten years immediately following the Census.  ....

By law, the Legislature must redraw its legislative and congressional district boundaries to reflect changes in population every ten years immediately following the decennial Census. The Oklahoma House of Representatives Redistricting Committee and its eight regional subcommittees will hold a series of town halls throughout the state in December and January to encourage public input in the redistricting process. The meetings are open to anyone who would like to attend.
 
State Reps. Jim Olsen, R-Roland, and Rusty Cornwell, R-Vinita, will host a public meeting on redistricting at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021, at the Northeastern State University, Webb Auditorium, 612 N. After the U.S. Supreme Court rejected a bid by Texas and other states to contest the presidential election results in four battleground states, and with the Electoral College casting its ballots in favor of Joe Biden, it appears President Donald Trump and his allies are out of options for overturning the outcome.
Cherokee County residents, including legislators, has mixed opinions on whether Oklahoma should have joined a lawsuit to question election protocols in battleground states, but many agree more uniformity is needed in election laws.
The U.S. Supreme Court on Friday, Dec. 11, rejected the bid by Texas s Attorney General Ken Paxton to contest election results in four states, saying he and other state attorneys general had not demonstrated cognizable interest in the manner in which another state conducts its elections.
