Kuala Lumpur: Former Dang Wangi district deputy police chief ACP Habibi Majinji told the High Court that Datuk Seri Khairuddin Abu Hassan did not mention any name of individuals including former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak in the police report lodged by him on 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).
When counsel Mohamed Haniff Khatri Abdulla who is representing Khairuddin referred to the police report made by his client at the Dangi Wangi district police headquarters on Dec 12 2014, Habibi, 46, agreed with the lawyer that in the police report Khairuddin only mentioned his suspicion on the governance of 1MDB. ....

JOHOR BAHRU: Ten Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) and two Malaysian Anti-Corruption Agency (MACC) officers suspected of being involved in organised crime activities masterminded by businessman Nicky Liow Soon Hee were detained in several states, as of Tuesday.
Johor police chief, Datuk Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay said those picked up were aged between 35 and 49. 
He said they were detained in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Melaka and Negeri Sembilan, from April 21 until today under phase 2 of Ops Pelican 3.0.

PUTRAJAYA: Two senior officers from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) were among 12 people arrested by Johor police for allegedly colluding with the Nicky Gang, an organised crime network involved in online scams and fraudulent investment schemes.
MACC chief commissioner Datuk Seri Azam Baki
(pix) said yesterday that the commission had given its full cooperation to police by handing over the two officers for investigations.
“I view this very seriously and will not compromise on the matter. If there are other MACC officers involved, we will hand them over to the police,” he said. ....

Malaysian police arrested 12 senior law enforcement officers on suspicion of working with an alleged crime lord linked to a Chinese criminal syndicate, the police chief of Johor state said on Tuesday.
Two officers from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) were among those arrested, Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay said.
“The Johor Commercial Crimes [unit] had launched an operation from April 21 to 27 and arrested 12 law enforcement officers aged between 36 and 49,” the Johor police chief said. “The officers were rounded up … in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Malacca and Negeri Sembilan.”
The arrests came as Malaysian police intensified the crackdown against law enforcement officers suspected of working with fugitive criminal Nicky Liow Soon Hee – the alleged leader of the Nicky Gang. ....

KUALA LUMPUR (April 28): A police officer who signed the detention papers for Datuk Seri Khairuddin Abu Hassan to be placed under the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012 (Sosma) admitted to the High Court today that it was not wrong for the public to have the perception that investigations into 1Malaysia Development Bhd was being called to a halt in 2015.
Assistant Commissioner Habibi Majinji was asked by lawyer Mohd Haniff Khatri Abdulla, who is acting for Khairuddin, whether it was wrong of the public to have such a perception, after seeing the disruption to Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission s investigation into 1MDB, the removal of the then Attorney-General Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail, and the disbandment of the Special Task Force on 1MDB. ....
