SAN FRANCISCO (BCN)
A $19.7 million renovation project at Garfield Square in San Francisco s Mission District was finished on Monday after more than two years of construction.
With the project now complete, the neighborhood park at Treat Avenue and 25th Street now boasts an improved indoor swimming pool, a clubhouse, new basketball courts, and a splashpad for children.
Once health orders related to the COVID-19 pandemic are lifted, the park s new pool will be able to open, debuting new accessibility features and accommodating more swimmers than before. ....

Chinatown Playground Reopens in Time for Lunar New Year After $14.5M Renovation
The Willie Woo Woo Wong Playground, located at 830 Sacramento Street in SF s Chinatown, had been closed for more than two years but, after a multi-million-dollar renovation, reopened right in time for the Lunar New Year.
With a basically brand-new clubhouse, improvements to the on-site sports courts, and other upgrades (which include such things as dragon-themed playground equipment), the Willie Wong Playground became accessible to the public again Friday afternoon.
