State Police have identified the three victims from Saturday s wrong-way crash on Interstate 84 in Sturbridge.
The crash resulted in fatal injuries to the operator of a 2009 Nissan Murano traveling west in the eastbound lanes, identified as Deyja Jackson, 40, of Worcester. The Nissan struck a 2011 Volvo XC60 traveling east on the eastbound side and killed Irene Karam, 83, of Manchester, N.H. and Patricia Knauer, 62, of Deland, Fla.
The crash happened just after 6 p.m. Saturday, about a mile before the interchange with the Massachusetts Turnpike.
State police said they started receiving calls just after 6 p.m. regarding a vehicle that was traveling westbound on the eastbound lanes of I-84. ....

Massachusetts State Police identified the three people killed when a wrong-way driver collided with another vehicle in Sturbridge Saturday.
Troopers assigned to the Sturbridge barracks responded to reports of a crash around 6 p.m. on Interstate 84.
A 2009 Nissan Murano was traveling west in the eastbound lanes of I-84 before Exit 6B in Sturbridge before the crash. The Nissan struck a 2011 Volvo XC60 traveling east on the eastbound side
The crash resulted in fatal injuries to the driver of the Nissan, identified as Deyja Jackson, 40, of Worcester, and fatal injuries to the driver and passenger in the Volvo, identified as Irene Karam, 83, of Manchester, New Hampshire, and Patricia Knauer, 62, of Deland, Florida, respectively. ....

The crash happened Saturday, April 17 at around 6 p.m. in Central Massachusetts when one of the vehicles involved, a 2009 Nissan Murano, was traveling west in the eastbound lanes in Worcester County, near Exit 6B in Sturbridge, Massachusetts State Police said.
The Nissan struck a 2011 Volvo XC60 traveling east on the eastbound side, according to state police.
Lifesaving efforts were immediately attempted by responding cruisers, however, the crash resulted in fatal injuries to one occupant in one vehicle and two occupants in a second vehicle, state police said.
