Obituaries Freeman, Michael
Michael Allen Freeman, 63, of Louisville, KY left this world on Tuesday, December 8,2020 after a courageous battle with tonsil cancer. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a small, family-only Celebration of Life ceremony was held on Saturday, December 12 at Hughes Funeral Home in Paducah, KY. Burial followed at Mt. Kenton Cemetery also in Paducah.
Mr. Freeman was born on March 8, 1957 in Paducah, KY to Jack Allen Freeman (Deceased) and Bonnie Delores Freeman. He was a 1975 graduate of Reidland High School and a 1979 graduate of Paducah Community College where he competed on the school’s tennis team and was recruited by his professors to serve as a math tutor to his fellow students. Mr. Freeman received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kentucky in 1981. While attending UK, he was elected President of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).

Country singer and Paducah expat Larry Stewart â the lead singer of Restless Heart â is hoping to bring a little joy this holiday season with the release of âEveryday is Christmas,â a collection of yuletide love song covers.
This isnât the 61-year-oldâs first Noel rodeo. Restless Heart â whom some may remember from hits like 1986âs âIâll Still Be Loving You,â 1992âs âWhen She Criesâ and 1993âs âTell Me What You Dreamâ â released a Christmas album in 2013, but Stewart just canât get enough Christmas.
âIâm a Christmas wacko from early on listening to Christmas music with my father. It stuck with me all along,â Stewart told the Sun. âI still love the old vintage stuff, the Perry Como, the Andy Williams and the Dean Martin songs, even the Carpenters and (Frank) Sinatra.â
