Enniskillen Rotary Club awards Fermanagh young citizens

CELEBRATING the achievements and commitments of Fermanagh s inspiring youth, the Rotary Club of Enniskillen has hosted Young Citizen Awards, announcing the winners of the awards at a virtual ceremony via Zoom online meetings on Monday (May 10). The awards are held to showcase and celebrate the positive citizenship and important responsibilities assumed by many young people under the age of 25. Nikki Kernaghan (17) was announced as the winner of the Young Sporting Hero award, and Mark West (11) as the winner of the Young Citizen award. The current Girl s Captain of Enniskillen Royal Boat Club, Nikki has overcome grief to focus on training, competing and winning in rowing. She is a skilled team member, developing her leadership skills in helping younger members and coaches alike.

Reynolds Tags: Updated January 26, 2021 10:31 p.m. EST By Jacob Hancock, HighSchoolOT Reporter East Forsyth s girls basketball team turned up the tempo in the second half to run away with a 55-36 road win at R.J. Reynolds on Tuesday. The Eagles (4-1, 3-1 in Central Piedmont Conference) outscored the host Demons (3-4, 2-3 CPC) by a margin of 31-14 in the second half, using length and athleticism to create turnovers and spark fast break opportunities. Sophomore La niya Simes had 14 points, senior Destiny Long had 13 points and senior Monay Galloway had 10 points to lead East Forsyth in double figures.
