ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain Monday said Islamabad Space Observatory will help in moon sighting on Ramazan and Eid and develop a consensus on observing such events on the same day across the country.
Addressing the foundation stone laying ceremony of Islamabad Space Observatory on Monday, he said, “We will be able to assist the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee to see the moon of Ramazan and Eid through this observatory which would help develop consensus to observe such events on the same day in the country.” ....

National Highway Authority (NHA) & Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) Signed an Agreement today at NHA, HQ under which National Highway Authority’s’ entire network will be monitored by using Satellite Technology. Chairman National Highway Authority Capt ® Sikander Qayyum, Member SUPARCO Mr. Zafar Iqbal and Senior officers of NHA, SUPARCO and Ministry of Communications were also present. NHA’s Member (Planning) Mr. Asim Amin and Director Commercial SUPARCO Brig ® Tahir Islam signed the agreement.
According to the detailed National Highway Authority (NHA) will engaged Space & Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) for monitoring of its network using satellite technology. ....

Islamabad:National Highway Authority (NHA) & Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (Suparco) signed an agreement on Monday at NHA, Headquarters under which National Highway Authority’s entire network will be monitored by using satellite technology, says a press release.
NHA Chairman Captain (r) Sikander Qayyum, Member Suparco Zafar Iqbal and senior officers of NHA, Suparco and Ministry of Communications were also present. NHA’s Member (Planning) Asim Amin and Director Commercial Suparco Brigadier (r) Tahir Islam signed the agreement.
