HUBBALLI/DHARWAD: Among the busiest railway terminals in South India, the Hubballi Railway Station will soon boast the world’s longest platform, which is slated to be inaugurated, albeit virtually, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Union minister for parliamentary affairs and Dharwad MP Pralhad Joshi on Sunday confirmed that the PM would inaugurate the platform, work on which would be completed in a month-and-a-half.
Joshi, inaugurating the ‘Spit Not Ok’ campaign launched by Young India in Hubballi, said that Union minister for railways Piyush Goyal would grace the ceremony marking the inauguration of the platform at the Hubballi station. ....
