Picture used for representational purpose only NOIDA: The Confederation of Residents’ Welfare Associations - Uttar Pradesh (CoRWA-UP) has planned to organise a national conference of residents’ bodies to discuss conservation and supply of drinking water. The programme will be held in Ghaziabad on November 23 and 24. The association has got support from the ministry of housing and urban affairs and Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, the minister of Jal Shakti, is likely to be the chief guest at the conference. CoRWA-UP has also proposed the setting up of a National Water Authority to coordinate all matters related to water conservation and pollution, storm water and house water drainage, piped water supply and matters pertaining to jal nigams and jal kal vibhags. ....

Image Source: IANS News New Delhi, May 19 : The Delhi Police said on Wednesday that they have arrested four bootleggers, including one carrying a fake media ID card of NDTV, with several bottles of liquor and beer. Atul Kumar Thakur, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), South Delhi, said that on the intervening night of Tuesday-Wednesday, the police got a tip-off that few bootleggers were selling liquor at very high rates. Due to the ongoing lockdown, all liquor shops are closed in the national capital. According to the police, the accused persons used to supply liquor in their own vehicles, and would come near the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) from the South Extension side. ....
