Kindergarten: USA is built on 'pyramid of hate' culminating in 'genocide'

TRAGEDY AS A WEAPON
Christopher Rufo was able to get his hands on the lesson plan created by Philadelphia’s Office of School Climate and Culture. It teaches children K-2nd grade to discuss what happened to George Floyd and the goals of the Black Lives Matter [communist] movement.
The story is taught in racial terms: “George Floyd was killed by a police officer”; “Mr. Floyd was African American, the officer was white.” The lesson teaches that for years, “some police officers have hurt African Americans.”
NOTICE THE COLORS
Teachers are then told to discuss the “Pyramid of Hate” with the children as young as four years old, teaching that “our society” is built on “biased attitudes,” “systemic discrimination,” and “bias-motivated violence,” which can lead to “genocide.” ....

Why Are Conservatives in Despair?

April 25, 2021

And it’s why I’m not going to publish any comments on this blog that criticize him personally (as distinct from criticizing his ideas). But I also recognize that David is dispositionally and convictionally more liberal than I am, and far more optimist about the way of the world. This is a preface to say that his column today is halfway about me and people like me. ....

Saving River Middle School's culture, approach to student well-being

When I retired from leading River School in 2014, later that school year there were two teen suicides in NVUSD in the space of eight days, an 8th-grade boy and a 10th grader. Those deaths shook me and, with Jeni Olsen, we started Village Napa, an advocacy group, to support the mental, social, and emotional well-being of young people. In the research I’ve done since then, I’ve discovered that suicide is the second leading cause of death among adolescents, among college students, and that 50% of millennials and 75% of Gen Zers have left their jobs due to mental health reasons. ....
