TAMPA, FL Appointments for the coronavirus vaccine are no longer available at this time for residents age 65 and older in Hillsborough County.
Appointment availability is based on the supply of vaccine provided by the state of Florida. The county expects to be able to offer additional appointments next week. Residents can visit the website for additional information and updates.
Hillsborough has about 9,000 vaccine doses that will be distributed to residents 65 and older between Wednesday and Saturday of this week. Demand for those appointments has been high.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL In the ongoing effort to carefully and methodically restore services to residents, Hillsborough County is reopening additional public libraries.
These libraries will reopen to the public on Monday, Dec. 14:
Arthenia L. Joyner University Area Community Library, 13619 N. 22nd St. in Tampa
Austin Davis Public Library, 17808 Wayne Road in Odessa
Seffner-Mango Branch Library, 410 N. Kingsway Road in Seffner
Selected spaces within these libraries will reopen at 25 percent capacity. The buildings will be open to the public Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

HILLSBOROUGH, Fla. â Hillsborough County will provide free, reusable cloth face coverings to residents at two dozen libraries beginning Thursday, Dec. 10.
In addition, the county is offering operators of small businesses the ability to request a one-time quantity of 100 face coverings, while supplies last.
While supplies last, residents can pick up two of the reusable face coverings and can request face coverings for immediate family members not present.
Distribution hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
