The Dons knotted the score in the fifth as Dane Dawson led off with a single to right and took second base on a deep single to center by Vince Gamberdella. Erick Elizalde followed with a single to center to score Dawson for the second run.
Ty Montgomery delivered the game-winning RBI in the sixth. Jordan Harris drew a lead-off walk and went to second on Russell s sacrifice. Montgomery entered as a pinch-hitter and singled to center field to bring home Harris.
The Dons (13-5 overall) followed the successful pitching combination of Juan Perez and Elizalde. Perez went five innings, allowed two earned runs and eight hits, walked two and struck out eight. Elizalde finished the game, allowing one hit, no walks and struckout three.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. â Kansas City, Missouri, will soon be the City of Fountains once again.
Due to a nearly $7 million loss in revenue from the COVID-19 pandemic, the Parks and Recreation Department was only able to run seven of its 48 fountains last year.
Kansas City native Curtis Woods II said it s been a dark year without them.
