After May’s regular council meeting Tuesday evening, Brenda Chisholm-Beaton, the mayor of Port Hawkesbury, said the town provides essential services for people across the region. “With increased exposure, and the fear that comes along with that, we want to make sure that anybody who has had the misfortune of contracting COVID-19, we want to make sure that they feel supported, that they are not stigmatized.” ....

Richmond Co. council voted to send a letter to provincial officials at April’s regular council meeting Monday evening. The pay-by-palm service will launch first at a Whole Foods location in Seattle, near the company’s headquarters, Amazon announced Wednesday, according to the Associated Press.
