The bulk of the meeting of the Lincoln County Board of Education on Tuesday, May 11, was spent recognizing students and staff members for their achievements. Pierson Rickard, an eighth grade East Lincoln Middle School student, who was named seventh chair trombone in the North Carolina All State Band. He was the only Lincoln County student to make the All-State Band. The East Lincoln High School Cheval Winter Guard competed in the 2021 Virtual Winter Guard International World Championships and received the rating of âoutstandingâ for their performance. They also received first place in their local competition, the Carolina Winter Assemble Association. ....
