Bulgaria, Greece eye day ahead power market coupling in Q1 2021 chungking/Shutterstock.com SOFIA (Bulgaria), December 16 (SeeNews) - The Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange (IBEX) said that the Greek-Bulgarian day ahead power market coupling is scheduled to go live in the first quarter of 2021. The market coupling operations of the Greek bidding zone in SDAC (Multi Regional Coupling) were successfully launched today, 15th December 2020 with the 16th December 2020 being the first delivery day, the IBEX also said in a statement on Tuesday. Earlier this month, the electricity transmission and market operators of Bulgaria and North Macedonia signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) declaring their intention to complete the day ahead market coupling by 2022. ....
