1 dead, 1 in custody after shooting at Burnsville hotel

Created: July 23, 2021 08:00 PM One person is dead and another is in custody after a shooting at a Burnsville hotel Friday night. Burnsville Police confirmed to 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS that officers are investigating a fatal shooting at the Burnsville Inn and Suites. The department said officers arrested a suspect in the shooting at about 6:35 p.m. after he and the victim were apparently involved in an altercation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Burnsville Police by calling 911 or 952-322-2323. Police said there is not believed to be any ongoing threat to the public. No other information was immediately available. An investigation is underway.

She has Alzheimers, and both family and authorities were concerned for her welfare.  But early Thursday Burnsville police tweeted that the woman had been located, was safe, and would soon be reunited with family members.  The department also thanked members of the public for assistance with the case.

Man fatally shot by police near I-35W in Burnsville is identified The suspect killed in the incident is from western Wisconsin. Author: MnDOT A carjacking suspect who died in a shootout with police in Burnsville has been identified as a western Wisconsin man.  According to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner s Office, Bradley Michael Olsen, 30, of Dresser, Wisconsin, died Sunday at 3:33 p.m. at the Hennepin Healthcare emergency room in Minneapolis, where he was taken after being shot by police during an incident on County Road 13 near the ramps to I-35W. Olsen died of gunshot wounds to the chest, the medical examiner ruled.
