They were joined by Sqn Ldr Neil Taylor and SAC THE founders of an annual event to remember air crews who lost their lives in Teesdale have been honoured by Barnard Castle Town Council. Town officials had planned to present Tony Galley and John Yarker with Civic Champion shields at last year’s 25th Teesdale Aviation Day service. The most up to date figures, from November 2020, show violence and sexual offences and anti-social behaviour were the most commonly reported crimes across all Durham Constabulary neighbourhood policing areas. The two categories were consistently the most reported in every neighbourhood, with the exception of Newton Aycliffe (Byerley) and South Hetton / Haswell / Haswell Plough, where criminal damage and arson were most reported. ....
