According to police, officers began chasing a vehicle at about 2:15 a.m. after its driver didn t immediately stop. Officers followed the vehicle along southbound U.S. Route 287 as it continued slowly onto the East Berry Street exit towards Burton Avenue. Mobile police arrest Arizona man in woman’s 1988 stabbing death Updated May 04, 2021; Mobile police have made an arrest in the murder of a 69-year-old that went unsolved for more than 30 years. Anthony Hayes, 65, was arrested yesterday in Arizona, according to a release from the department. Hayes is a suspect in the murder of Stella McCrary. The incident occurred 33 years ago on Burton Avenue in Mobile on Jan. 23, 1988. McCrary died of multiple stab wounds and investigators at the time believed that robbery may have been the motive. McCrary’s son, Tommy, discovered her. Hayes was discovered as a suspect after cold case detectives began to reinvestigate the case in March. ....
Greater Sudbury Police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing woman. Stephanie Allan is 29, white, 5-foot-3 and 110 pounds, with shoulder length brown hair and hazel eyes.
