The Sheridan Police Department would like to remind everyone that on-street public parking spaces in the business district shall not be occupied by any vehicle from the hours of 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. In a statement, the SPD said officials have an ordinance (16-29) in place which usually covers parking issues downtown for the streets to be cleaned or ploughed for snow. The business district is defined as an area bounded by, and including, the bounding portions of the following streets and their intersections: Brooks Street on the west, Dow Street on the north, Scott and Broadway Streets on the east and Burkitt Street on the south. ....
Man cautioned after armed police respond to North Lynn incident | Updated: 10:25, 15 February 2021 A man has been cautioned after armed police attended an incident in North Lynn on Friday afternoon. Police say officers were called by paramedics to Sir Lewis Street at around 3.40pm over concerns for the safety of a man who was said to be a distressed state. Armed units were among those to respond and the incident was resolved around 50 minutes later, when officers entered the address. Police Officers from the Armed Response Unit were in attendance. Main Street Project Meeting The virtual meeting, which was held via the Zoom platform, provided an opportunity for the public to learn more about the project and to share their feedback on the project as well. Sheridan Mayor Rich Bridger says despite the public meeting being held virtually, it was well attended. Mayor Bridger I asked the Mayor if he felt the City and WYDOT were currently on the same page regarding the project moving forward? Mayor Bridger A little over half a mile of Main Street from Dow Street to the Coffeen Avenue and Burkitt Street intersection will be resurfaced as part of the project. WYDOT and the City continue to review several different options to lessen the impact to the downtown businesses. ....
Sheridan, Wyo – The Wyoming Department of Transportation and the City of Sheridan will be hosting a virtual public involvement meeting at 6:30pm on Thursday, February 11 regarding the upcoming 2023 rehabilitation and utility upgrade of Sheridan’s downtown Main Street.
