French cultural festival in China resumes with an eclectic repertoire of events in 14 cities, Cheng Yuezhu reports.
Festival Croisements returns this year with an eclectic repertoire of events from the fields of music, drama, visual arts, cinema, dance, books and fashion.
Organized by the French embassy in China and Institut Francais, the festival, after a year of suspension due to the COVID-19 outbreak, began on April 21. It runs through July 31, with some 78 events being hosted in 14 cities in China, including Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu in Sichuan province and Wuhan in Hubei province.

The festival will include a total of 78 China-France cultural events covering visual art, music, theater, film, dance, fashion and books, according to the French Embassy in Beijing on Tuesday. France has become China s largest cultural cooperation partner in institutional cooperation, artist exchanges, and nongovernmental interaction thanks to the past 15-year-long cultural cooperation. The year 2021 s festival highlights the cultural ties between China and France, which have bound the two countries together, said Laurent Bili, the French ambassador to China.

This agreement has been signed on a ceremony held on 3 March at the French Embassy in Beijing in the presence of the French Ambassador, his Excellency Mr. Laurent Bili, Mr. Tian Zhenqing, Chairman of Beijing Enterprises Group (BEG), Mrs. Li Yalan, Chairwoman of the board of BGG, and Mr. Adnan Ezzarhouni, General Manager of GTT China. Several key leaders in the industry and government officials were in attendance.
