The Government of Belize has imposed a temporary travel ban on persons who have recently visited or arrived from the Republic of India, as well as the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.  Both countries are experiencing a massive explosion in the number of COVID-19 infections.  On Tuesday, Cabinet agreed to institute travel restrictions.  Earlier today, we spoke with Arun Hotchandani, Honorary Consul General of India in Belize.

FG Issues Directive For Travelers From 3 Countries


(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – The Federal Government has issued a directive for non Nigerian travelers from Brazil, India and Turkey.
This was disclosed in a statement issued to the press by the Boss Mustapha, chairman of the Presidential Steering Committee  on  COVID-19  who  disclosed this in a press release titled ‘Travel advisory for passengers arriving Nigeria from Brazil, India and Turkey.’
According to Mustapha, the travel advisory shall take effect from Tuesday and it will be subjected to review after an initial period of four weeks.
In the new directive, Nigerians and those with permanent resident permit who had gone to Brazil, India or Turkey within 14 days preceding travel to Nigeria will undergo seven days of mandatory quarantine. ....
