Details from the officer s account of the fatal shooting were revealed on Sunday
The unnamed cop who fired the deadly shot claims to have not known there were three cops guarding the door and to have only seen the crowd advancing  
Footage shows the cops guarding the door had no visible shields or riot gear
The officer, who was put on leave pending an investigation, also claims he did not know a back up tactical team was on its was to help clear out the rioters

KPD officer from officer involved shooting is Army veteran


The Killeen Police Department officer who shot and killed Patrick Warren Sr. during a psychiatric call on Jan. 10 is a decorated military veteran who served 16 years in the Army, including a pair of deployments, Army officials verified this week.
The police officer, Reynaldo Contreras, worked as a Patriot Launching Station operator and Avenger crewmember during his time in the Army, from 1999 to 2015. He left the Army as a sergeant first class and deployed to Kuwait from November 2011 to October 2012 and to Iraq from September 2003 to May 2004, according to the Army.
He served at Fort Hood between March 2009 and July 2015.
Contreras, a five-year veteran of KPD, is on administrative leave while KPD detectives and the Texas Rangers investigate the case, which is normal protocol for officer involved shootings. ....

AUSTIN, Texas - The Texas Military Department has announced the death of a soldier from Austin. Staff Sgt. Timothy Manchester, 34, died January 20, 2021, in a non-combat related incident while supporting Operation Spartan Shield at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait.
Staff Sgt. Manchester was a non-commissioned officer with the 36th Infantry Division, Texas Army National Guard, headquartered in Austin, Texas. He deployed with the 36th ID, September 2020.

(WBNG) The National Guard has released the names of the three service members that were killed in a helicopter crash Wednesday night just outside of Rochester, N.Y. in the town of Mendon.
They are Chief Warrant Officer 5 Steven Skoda, Chief Warrant Officer 4 Christian Koch, and Chief Warrant Officer 2 Daniel Prial.
Their UH-60 helicopter crashed during a routine training missing.
