The deadline for submissions for the 2021 edition of the prestigious Adipec Awards has been extended until Monday, July 12, following unprecedented interest in the awards from across the energy industry.
The decision to extend the deadline coincides with the announcement of a high-level jury for this year’s awards that includes Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure and Tarek EI Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Arab Republic of Egypt.

More than 25 years ago, when SUNY Cortland enrolled students of color numbering in the low single digits, a small cohort of faculty undertook to prepare the rest of the faculty and professional staff for a very different future.
Today approximately a quarter of the student body self-identifies as other than white/non-Latinx and over the course of some 20 years about 200 colleagues have prepared themselves for that future which is now here, through the Summer Institute for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Social Justice.
This year’s summer institute is filled, and there’s a waiting list of faculty, professional staff and administrators to participate in the small and very personalized training program from Tuesday, June 1, to Thursday, June 3. ....

May 17, 2021: Music Canada, in collaboration with the Diversity Institute at Ryerson University’s Ted Rogers School of Management, is releasing a survey as part of a new and first-of-its kind research study on equity, diversity and inclusion in Canada’s music industry. Artists, creators, and music industry professionals are encouraged to participate in the national and bilingual survey linked at https://musiccanada.com/diversity-inclusion-survey-2021.
This survey and the broader research study intends to identify diversity and inclusion gaps within the music industry and gain a deeper understanding of the challenges and barriers to success of diverse artists, creators and music professionals in the Canadian music industry.  ....

New Report Examines Growing Job Polarization in Canada

TORONTO, May 5, 2021 /CNW/ - Building on a longstanding research project conducted by Public Policy Forum (PPF) and the Diversity Institute and supported by the Future Skills Centre about the future of work, a new research series, Skills for the Post Pandemic World tackles key questions facing policymakers, employers, training providers and workers as they collectively turn to face the post-pandemic future of skills, training and retraining. Released today as part of the series is a report analysing the growing job polarization in Canada from 1989 to 2019 and shows a steady increase in high-skilled jobs while mid-skilled jobs dwindle in Canada. It also shows that women are making gains in high skilled jobs and youth and immigrants are engaging more in low-skilled jobs, creating inequitable access to the labour market and a large wage gap. ....
