After having to cancel fireworks in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the city of Palm Coast will host “Fireworks in the Park, complete with picnics, fun, and fireworks, on Saturday, July 3.
Celebrate Independence Day with an all-American picnic at Central Park in Town Center, 975 Central Ave. Fireworks will be set off around 9:15 p.m. next to City Hall featuring more than 1,000 exploding shells.

The city of Palm Coast’s Holland Park phase two renovations are near completion. The playground construction has been finished for a few months. The splash pad is now ready for families to enjoy.
The Holland Park splash pad ribbon cutting will take place at 9 a.m. May 14, at the pavilion closest to the restrooms. Palm Coast Mayor Milissa Holland, Palm Coast Parks and Recreation Director Lauren Johnston, and BBI Construction Project Manager Ben Grikstas will all be speaking.
If you visit Holland Park prior to the event, you’ll notice there may be children frolicking among the splash pad creatures, enjoying the water sprays under the Florida sun. Starting May 3, the Parks and Recreation team is beginning a soft opening of the attraction ahead of the ribbon cutting event, which will signify the official opening of the splash pad. The third month of the Mayor s 90/90 Challenge is on the horizon and the Palm Coast Parks & Recreation team has planned more than a dozen interactive, outdoor activities for participants to get their miles in during the month of March!
The challenge is designed to motivate residents to lead a healthier lifestyle and embrace a fitness routine.
The goal is to move at least a mile a day for the 90 days from Jan. 4 to April 3, but it s never too late to start! So join us! Literary enthusiasts rejoice! A new way for readers to explore books is available at the Palm Coast Community Center through the concept of the Free Little Library, a nonprofit that builds community, inspires readers, and expands book access for all through a global network of volunteer-led little libraries.
The library is stained walnut in color and is about the size of a bird house. Books are placed inside of it and are free to borrow. The idea is to take one and leave one. Book donations are also accepted. It is located in the playground area of the Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Parkway NE. ....
