RANDOLPH â The Randolph Academy Union Free School District Board of Education has named Danielle J. Cook as the districtâs new superintendent.
Currently serving as middle and high school principal at Panama Central School, Cook will begin her new duties July 1.
âIâm truly honored for the opportunity to lead Randolph Academy,â she said. âIâm very excited to work in a district where the decision-making is student-centered.â
Cookâs career includes more than 15 years as an educator and has served as principal in the Panama school district since 2017. Prior to her current position, she served as school psychologist for the Panama and Clymer central school districts and was an Applied Behavioral Science Specialist with The Resource Center, a not-for-profit organization which serves persons with disabilities based in Jamestown.

More than 45,000 Chautauqua County residents have completed their COVID-19 vaccination series, while 51.5% of adults have received at least one shot.
According to New York state’s vaccine tracker, 45,117 have completed their series in the county while 53,222 have received at least one dose to date.
In Cattaraugus County, 23,022 have either received the one-dose shot or have received both of the two-dose vaccine. Further, 27,088 have received at least one shot, representing about 44.7% of adults in the county.
Locally, Chautauqua County residents have several options to getting the COVID-19 vaccine. A walk-in clinic will take place from 3-6 p.m. today at Panama Central School, located at 41 North St.

A drive-through clinic is taking place today from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Cassadaga Valley School bus garage, 5935 Route 60. The drive-through clinic will provide the Pfizer vaccine to anyone 16 years of age or older and the Moderna vaccine to anyone over the age of 18.
Second doses, according to the school district in a news release, will be administered at the bus garage on June 8 from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
A clinic is also taking place today at Gowanda Central School. Walk-ins are welcome from 2:30-4:50 p.m.
A walk-in vaccination clinic will take place from 3-6 p.m. Wednesday at Panama Central School, 41 North St.
