NORTHBROOK, Ill, May 6, 2021 /PRNewswire/ The Children s Heart Foundation (CHF) is celebrating its 25th Anniversary of funding the most promising congenital heart defect (CHD) research, amounting to nearly $14 million in grants and scientific collaboration. This has led to significant increases in survival, longevity, and quality of life for the 2-3 million Americans living with CHDs.
To celebrate 25 years of funding research, CHF is launching an interactive virtual 25
th anniversary campaign, which will run over several months on their social media channels and website. They hope their supporters – who are vital to their mission – will join them during this historic year.
Edward Russell Leuba passed away peacefully on Feb. 23, 2021, of natural causes, with his wife of 67 years, Millicent Chace Leuba, by his side. He was 90 years old. His mark was 90, and he reached it, after a full, productive and loving life.
Ted was born in Bryn Mawr, Penn., on March 28, 1930, the third of six children of Clarence James Leuba, for many years the chair of the Psychology Department at Antioch College, and Frances Eddy Briggs Leuba, a graduate of Bryn Mawr College. Ted grew up in Yellow Springs, Ohio, where he graduated from The Antioch School and Bryan High School. He had wonderful, clear memories of walking to school through Glen Helen Nature Preserve as a youngster, and had a deep and abiding love of nature. He was a precocious environmentalist and remained a dedicated conservationist his entire life.

KENT COUNTY, Mich. â Friends Lorraine Forehand and Emilyanne Kellogg had a goal to help just one family this Christmas. Financially, like that s pretty much all that I could do, and probably Lorraine could do. So we were going to try to pull together and do that, Kellogg told FOX 17 News. I went and I tried to the traditional routes of sponsoring a family, and the deadlines were already past. just a lot of things weren t happening anyways because of covid and things like that.
