Maharashtra wildlife department on Tuesday has issued orders to shoot a tigress that has been accused of eating at least 10 people in the last one in year in the state’s Yavatmal district.
According to wildlife officials, the tigress has terrorized people staying near Pandharkawada town in Yavatmal district in Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh Villages areas sharing the border with the district. ....

Yavatmal (Maharashtra)–Activists and conservationists are agitated at the shocking news of a pregnant tigress with four foetuses in the womb being found brutally killed in the forests near Pandharkawada in Maharashtra’s Yavatmal
The incident, which happened last Sunday, came to light a day later when the mutilated carcass was found in a pool of blood with the poachers having chopped off its front paws to extract the claws.
The wildlife community and officials have reacted strongly to the incident which occurred within the Mukutban ranges of the thick forests, known to be frequented by tigers in the Vidarbha region. ....
