JOHANNESBURG - The five men accused of killing the Coka brothers on a farm in Mpumalanga have been granted bail.
Daniel Malan, Cornelius Greyling, Othard Klingberg, Michael Sternberg and Senzele Yende s bail hearing was held in the Piet Retief Magistrate s Court on Friday morning.
Zenzele and Mgcini Coka were shot during an altercation in Mkhondo earlier this month, where a clash allegedly erupted when seasonal farmers enquired about why they were not re-hired this year.

DURBAN -KwaZulu-Natal police have opened an inquest after one of two suspects was killed while trying to attack a farmer in Bishopstown, just outside Pietermaritzburg on Wednesday.
Police are searching for the second suspect.
Agriculture authorities in KwaZulu-Natal have condemned the attack, saying it negatively impacted efforts to bring about social cohesion within farming communities.
KwaZulu-Natal Agriculture and Rural Development MEC Bongi Sithole-Moloi said she was concerned about farm attacks because they threatened food security.
“This, unfortunately, happened after the MEC instructed her department to convene a social cohesion workshop in May, which is going to deal with such incidents, MEC s spokesperson Vusi Zuma said.
New research shows farmers most likely to be killed on Monday as cases surge
Farm murder is on the increase in South Africa and in many cases victims are violently tortured by burning, beating and stabbing.
South African farm murders, mostly committed in KwaZulu-Natal, Gauteng and the Freestate, are escalating despite lockdown and many victims are suffering torture by burning, beating and stabbing at the hands of their violent attackers.
The province that is recording the lowest level of farm murders is the Western Cape followed by the Northern Cape and Limpopo.
This was among the findings of a research report entitled Farm Murders in South Africa 2020 – An analysis of recorded incidents compiled by Andrea Muller and released by Afriforum on Wednesday.
