COVID recoveries outpace new cases Patrick Stout MACOMB The McDonough County Health Department has reported 10 coronavirus recoveries since Monday. There have been five new positive COVID-19 cases, four men and one woman. Two of the new cases come from Macomb, two from Colchester, and one from Good Hope. Ages listed are two people in their teens, two in their 20s, and one in the 30s. The new cases bring the county s confirmed case count to 2,815, with 47 cases still active, 2,711 people recovered, and 57 deaths. Total cases involve 1,494 women and 1,321 men. The largest age group impacted is 774 people in their 20s. Of the total cases, 1,416 have come from Macomb plus 488 from Western Illinois University. There have been 406 cases from Bushnell, 178 from Colchester, and 48 from Good Hope. ....

The department also reported that 55 people were reported recovered over the weekend and there were 31 new positive cases. The new cases involved 18 women and 13 men.
