Temples of many different deities adorn the reverses of hundreds of ancient coin types, and collectors have eagerly sought the finest and most historic specimens for centuries. By one estimate, over a thousand different ancient buildings are depicted on coins, and, in many cases, the coins are the only evidence for how the structures appeared (Price and Trell, 11).

Chiseled doric columns, ornate arches, vaulted ceilings, staircases, and tiny sculptures within a sculpture all of this fits into miniature architectural spaces that resemble ancient and medieval ruins and sacred architecture carved into raw marble and stone. These historical sculptures are brought to life by an internationally acclaimed British sculptor, Matthew Simmonds (previously here on
Bored Panda), who currently lives and works in Denmark.
His intricate three-dimensional interiors look very real from up close until you see that they are sculptures that are often less than a foot wide. In his work, Simmonds draws inspiration from real historical buildings, but most of his works are not reproductions and offer his own take and expertise on classic architecture.

Abstract
Mathematics and architecture are related. In the past, architecture was a part of mathematics and architects who constructed those architectures we still marvel at today were also mathematicians. Furthermore, lots of magnificent buildings in the past contained or was build based on mathematical models. Understanding how mathematical knowledge has helped the construction of buildings in life since many yeas ago can help people be aware of the importance of mathematics and motivate their passion towards mathematics. The approach of this research paper is to come up with findings on importance of mathematics in ancient architectures and magnificent bridges, as in geometry, from very important site analysis to final design as well as giving readers, especially people outside the construction industry a simple idea of how mathematical knowledge have been related to architectural design and construction.
