According to Ormax Media-Film Companion study, only 6 per cent of films were directed by women and the department that reported highest women representation was production design at 15 per cent.

MUMBAI: Women held a paltry 8% of the head of department (HOD) roles in Indian films in 2019 and 2020, the first of its kind study on the representation of women in Indian films by media consulting firm Ormax Media and digital platform Film Companion found.
A total of five HOD positions were analysed for the report across the sector direction, writing, cinematography, editing and production design. ....

BENGALURU: Nearly two-third of India s working women (66 per cent) feel that gender equality has improved compared to their parents age, according to a research study by professional network LinkedIn.
The report also showed that more than seven in 10 working women (71 per cent) and working mothers (77 per cent) feel that managing familial responsibilities often comes in their way of career development.
